Bob Hogan practices corporate transaction and compliance law, with particular focus on the healthcare industry representing physicians, physician groups, ambulatory surgery centers, hospices, laboratories, management service organizations (MSOs), and independent practice associations (IPAs).
Bob’s experience includes advising healthcare and non-healthcare clients with respect to formation, mergers and acquisitions, and operational matters.
Bob has drafted, implemented, and audited comprehensive healthcare compliance plans, and he regularly fields compliance questions, including those related to scope of practice, billing and reimbursement, corporate practice restrictions, fee splitting, incident-to billing, compensation, medical staff, HIPAA, CLIA, and healthcare fraud and abuse (including Stark and Anti-Kickback).
Prior to joining DSMW, Bob was an associate at a large firm in Chicago, where he primarily worked with national health systems, hospitals, and group purchasing organizations (GPOs).
In a pro-bono capacity, Bob has represented a family seeking asylum based on gang-threats and sexual assault in their home country in Central America, as well as victims of domestic violence, successfully obtaining emergency and temporary protective orders.
